Thank you Findlay Napier and Patrick Queen for an excellent evening’s entertainment last month and apologies for the delay in posting this! The event sold out fast and tickets were still changing hands on the day – note to all, it pays to get your name on the reserve list as there’s usually last-minute availability in the week/days leading up to a gig.
Patrick delivered a great warm-up set and left everyone wanting to hear more. We look forward to seeing him again later in the year. Findlay’s humorous stories and songs about his youth and living in Glasgow brought back happy memories for many and were a treat to listen to. He even managed to make the ‘community singing’ seem not too bad!
The evening was made extra special by the appearance of Freddie Stevenson Music, who many of you may recall was the catalyst for our acoustic nights, thanks to a happy co-incidence over 3 years ago! Freddie played a couple of our most favourite songs of his and we look forward to arranging a return visit by him when he launches his new cd later in the year.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported the evening and splashed out on the raffle. These events couldn’t take place without you! A total of £330 was made which will go towards the hall funds.
